Alabama Lost
I haven’t the wherewithal to compose my own text. I’m stunned. This is copied and pasted from Yahoo Sports…
Davis’ return lifts Auburn past Bama, 34-28
AUBURN, Ala. (AP) — That crazy tipped pass for a long game-winning touchdown is now the second-most stunning and improbable play of Auburn’s wild season.
Yes, the Tigers found a way to top “The Immaculate Deflection.”
Chris Davis returned a missed field-goal attempt more than 100 yards for a touchdown on the final play to lift No. 4 Auburn to a 34-28 victory over No. 1 Alabama on Saturday, upending the two-time defending national champions’ BCS hopes and preserving the Tigers’ own.
I have given up following Buffalo Bills’ football. I quit following Buffalo Sabres’ hockey decades ago. I’ve never felt inspired to watch NASCAR. Alabama Crimson Tide football is the only sport I watch. Their season ended today, in a stunning play with no time left on the clock, when Auburn returned a missed field goal for a tie-breaking touchdown.
I’m trying to tell myself that there’s always next year. I tried to find contentment in the research project I recently started.
But, there is no joy in Mudville, nor Bethlehem. I will change the color of my website back to teal. It was more Georgia red than Alabama crimson, anyway.
Then, I may as well go back to Canada.
